Nearly There

Nearly There | soft pastel | 2019 | 15 x 16 | $4200

Life is not a solo journey, the fortunate are able to have another person to share the experience. This painting is a metaphor for life’s journey, jostled on a train, sometimes shakey, but ultimately grounded and stable.

North River Arts Society Focus on Figures Exhibit, 157 Old Main Street, Marshfield Hills, MA, 15 April – 6 May 2023, 2nd Place Award

“This piece caught my attention from the first moment. The light background makes values on the faces very compressed. I love how the artist controlled this factor by softening features and playing with subtle color shifts that make this piece stand out.”
